Hi, I'm Raivyn, a part time blogger and musician from upstate New York.

Writing has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, fueled by the desire to speak my mind to the world. So naturally, when I discovered blogging somewhere back in 2002-03, I immediately hopped onto the LiveJournal train and blogged about my life, emotions, dreams and aspirations. I shared my poetry with others and learned new things about myself that I never would have realized if I hadn't started blogging. I feel I've come a long way since then. (And so has the software.. wow!)

I created IGTB for the "newer" generation of bloggers, those of the web 2.0 era. There is just so much involved in creating a blog nowadays that it can be quite overwhelming for those who aren't as web-savvy as they'd like to be. I wanted to create a sort of "guide" to building a great blog, in which I share the tips I've picked up over the years, to help those who also enjoy writing, for both themselves and others.

I hope you find value in my tips and ideas, and if there's something I haven't covered yet (please search for the topic first), feel free to email me with a question you may have, and I'd be happy to either write about it or point you to someone who can answer better than I can.
